QUIET HOUR: Sensory Friendly Time at the Museum
Saturday, 27 June 2026
About this event
Upcoming Quiet Hour Date: Saturday 27th June, 10:00 - 11:00
During this hour, gallery lighting will be softened and audio-visual effects reduced where possible. Signage will alert visitors to any unavoidable loud sounds.
We aim to be autism-friendly, with staff trained to support neurodivergent visitors and create a calming environment.
Visitors are welcome to bring sensory supports such as headphones or sunglasses.
While no designated quiet spaces are available, outdoor areas can be used for breaks.
Visual Guides and Sensory Maps are available.
Synge & Byrne Café will also host a Quiet Hour with reduced noise, lighting and music..
